Repair Timber Work

Scroll down

Here at Harry Evans & Sons, we offer a range of services that we have become experts at over the many years we have been in business. One of the services we provide to our clients is timber repair, some tables may only need a touch up, where others require a complete strip down, sanding and timber replacement.

Changing the look of your table from polished timber colours to a full gloss black, is also a popular option at the moment. One the timber has been restored, we send the components to oúr polisher who can match other furniture items you have or do a complete custom job, it is entirely up to you. It is a service we have found works well as styles and decor can change but there is always one thing that remains the same and that is the pool table.

When considering one or more of these options, take some photos of your table, this is the best way to start and we can guide you through the restoration process and help you achieve the look you most desire on a friendly budget.

Most typically both are done together as they make up the top section of the table and experience the most wear and tear and generally last the same length of time.

In more recent times we have had an increasing amount of billiard tables come through as they have been passed down from one generation to the next. Many beautifully made but in need of a facelift and this is where we feel we specialise the most, keeping the integrity and we understand the importance of the family heirloom and we take pride in resorting something that has been a part of people’s families for a long time.

Common Timber Restorations

Cushion Cap Repairs

As the name describes, the cap is the top section of the cushion. The top face and the outside edge can get damaged by belt buckles and buttons on pants.

Cushion Panel Repairs

Found on the side of the cushions, these panels can suffer from the similar wear and tear to the caps. Not all tables have panels, some have timber or metal buttons that cover the bolt holes. The process to repair these types of components are similar.
